There’s a struggle coming to Barrie, and the weapon of choice is a paintbrush.
The first-ever Art Battle Barrie guarantees nighttime of live competitive portrays, with an audience vote to decide the victor. Barrie is domestic to many proficient artists, which is a unique possibility for showing off their abilities.

This occasion is an opportunity to boost Barrie as a sturdy, innovative hub and reveal our network to the arts in a new, engaging, interesting environment,” said Karen Dubeau, Director of the Creative Economy. “Barrie is domestic to many gifted artists, and this is a unique opportunity to show off their skills and give them the hazard to compete amongst other nationally recognized artists.
The nighttime includes three 20-minute rounds of portraying, with the winner transferring on to participate in the National Championship occasion in Toronto. Art Battle Barrie takes place at the Five Points Theatre in downtown Barrie on Saturday, April 13th, with all the artwork created over the night to be purchased through a silent auction after the truth. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the quiet public sale will pass in the direction of the City of Barrie Cultural Grants fund, with the alternative fifty going towards the artists.
